Woman Second-Guesses Decision to Sell Shirt the Moment Someone Wants to Buy It

23-year-old Patricia Marks has finally made the choice to sell some of her old clothes she doesn’t wear anymore in order to bring in some extra cash. However, she immediately second-guessed this decision the second someone actually expressed interest in buying said clothes.

“Wait, is this shirt actually cute?” a frantic Patricia asked reporters, while holding up an ostentatious frilly lace tank top that was quite obviously not her typical style. “I should probably keep it, right? It’s probably about to come back in style.”

Particia then assured herself and reporters that she would definitely start wearing this shirt that she hadn’t worn once in the past decade.

“Sure, it’s been taking up space in my cramped closet for almost my entire adult life,” she said. “But that doesn’t mean that its day isn’t coming. Somebody online saw it and wanted it! That’s all the confirmation I need.”

However, after looking at the shirt a second time while waffling over what she should respond to the interested buyer, Patricia second-guessed her decision once again.

“No, wait, what am I saying?” she said, lucidity coming back into her eyes. “I hate that shirt! I’ve never worn it and I can never see myself wearing it. I should take whatever amount anyone is willing to pay me for it, and consider myself lucky for not having to make space for it in my life anymore.”

However, just moments after this breakthrough, another buyer expressed interest in a pair of shorts Patricia was selling, causing her to spiral completely.

“Oh my god, am I getting rid of a perfectly good wardrobe? Will I only realize what I had and never wore once it’s gone? Is my perception so skewed by what other people think that I can no longer determine if something is good by myself?”

As of press time, Patricia had decided to play it safe and hold on to all of her clothes for the foreseeable future –– unless, of course, her mom told her they would look cute on her, in which case she would sell them for any amount of money posthaste.
