INTERESTED IN WRITING FOR REDUCTRESS?

Please send in 10 pitches following the guidelines below, due at 11:59 PM EST on Sunday, August 4th. You will hear back from us in about 4-5 weeks. Please note that if you have already sent in pitches, we have not read them.

Please fill out the following google form with your pitches. DO NOT email your pitches to us. Pitches received through email will not be considered.

Submission Form: CLICK HERE.

A copy of your responses is automatically sent to your email after submission, as confirmation that we have received your application. It may go to your spam inbox, so make sure to check there.

* Please check that your email is entered correctly in the form. If entered incorrectly, we will not be able to notify you of your application status.

All applicants will be notified of their resulting application status, about 4-5 weeks after the deadline.

Please follow this format for your headlines:

  • Proposed Headline (Please try to work the joke/hook/idea into this headline)
  • Brief Story Description (Describe the article/joke and give 2-3 example sentences. Try to give examples if it’s a listicle. Please keep to under 50 words.)
  • Proposed Story Type

An example of a pitch to enter in the google form is below:

I Keep the Bees, but Who Will Keep Me? (Thoughts)
A mournful account of a lonesome beekeepress who wants to find love, but can only find honey. “The bees, they hum to me. ‘This is a two-person job,’ they hum.

Pitches in a different or incomplete format will not be considered.

Please take a look at some of our more popular articles on the site here for inspiration, but note that we are looking for fresh, original ideas distinct from what we’ve already done.

We look forward to reading your submissions!
