Why I’m Only Getting Married for the Small Chance That Rihanna Could Perform at My Wedding

When I was a little girl, I never daydreamed about my future wedding like a lot of my friends did at the time. I was, however, constantly lost in thought about my own fantasy of seeing Rihanna in concert while front and center in a semi-intimate crowd. I realized that my dream could potentially become a reality after learning that Rihanna performed at a wedding in India recently. Obviously, the next thing I did was buy a ring and propose to my long-term partner the very next day, because even though I don’t believe in marriage, I do believe in seeing Rihanna live.

Sure, Rihanna may have only done an extremely rare performance because the wedding that hosted her was for one of the richest families in the world, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to lose hope anytime soon. Neither my family nor my partner’s family are as rich as the billionaire family who booked her, but with all of the emails I’ve been sending to her team every 30 minutes, I’m sure that she will crack eventually. And if not, then I guess we’ll simply have to crowdfund until we reach our goal!

My partner also seems to have a few worries about our upcoming nuptials because a lot of the planning I’ve been doing has been centered around Rihanna instead of my vows, the floral arrangements, the guest list, or the catering. However, I think that it’s always important to prioritize when planning an event, and Rihanna always comes first. After all, I’ve known Rihanna for most of my life, but I’ve only known my partner for about six years now.

This may go without saying, but I’m obviously going to call the whole wedding off if Rihanna announces that she’ll be going on tour sometime soon. I haven’t discussed this with my partner yet, but I’m sure that they would totally understand. Either way, I can’t wait until I see her perform “Bitch Better Have My Money” in person for the first time, no matter how or when it happens! After all, in sickness and in health, in good times and bad, and for richer or poorer I will always be a part of the Rihanna Navy for as long as I shall live!
