In shocking news coming out of New York City, 25-year-old Nadia Grace seems to be going down a dangerous path of treachery and deceit by lying on her resume, just like disgraced former congressman George Santos.
Uh oh! She’s following in his footsteps!
According to her statements, Nadia apparently didn’t see anything wrong with writing a few white lies in order to get to ahead in her career that she’s extremely passionate about.
“Sure, I haven’t explicitly been an administrative assistant before, but I do have all of the skills necessary to do the job,” she said. “I don’t think that makes me comparable to George Santos in any way. I mean, I’m lying about one job, not my entire life or how I’m spending the money of my constituents. I’m also a leftist?”
Yeah, right! We’re not buying it, girlie!
Her friends also seemed a bit skeptical about Nadia’s personal history when she asked them to proofread her resume.
“When she said she was gonna lie about one of her work experiences, I started to have some doubts about how truthful the rest of her life story was,” Nadia’s best friend, Margaret Thomas, told reporters. “Like, how do I really know that she went to the University of Washington? What’s stopping her from making that up too?”
Exactly! How can anyone be so sure?
However, Nadia remained steadfast in defending herself, not unlike the ex-congressman with two federal indictments and 23 fraud-related charges.
“How could she think I’m lying about that? We literally went to school together,” she said. “I also helped her lie on her resume to get a job in tech, so I don’t get why she’s acting so high and mighty right now.”
When asked about this statement, Margaret declined to comment.
Nadia’s mother, Alex Grace, was also concerned about her daughter’s untrue work history when Nadia asked her for career advice over the phone.
“I told her that I always think you should be honest on your resume,” Alex told reporters. “You know, right now she’s just lying about being proficient in Microsoft Excel, but it’s a slippery slope! Tomorrow she could be lying about being the producer of the failed Broadway show Spider-man: Turn Off the Dark.”
“Why would I ever lie about that?” Nadia responded. “Weren’t like several people injured during that production?”
Whatever you say, future Congresswoman!
At press time, Nadia had received a job offer from a top company in her field and is now happily working there full-time. She has, however, repeatedly lied to her new coworkers about having been an actor in Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
