Woman’s Journal Also Convenient Recap of Worst Moments in Her Life

In a heartwarming story emerging from Chicago, IL, 27-year-old Emma Feinhart is realizing she only writes in her journal when something dramatic happens, which means her journal is now a convenient recap of the worst moments of her life all in one place.

“I didn’t intend to make a time capsule of all of my worst experiences,” she told reporters gathered at the scene, where she was reading old journal entries to get a taste of what it felt like to be truly, deeply sad. “But turns out, I only write when I need help processing something, and that happens to be when I’m at my lowest.”

While Emma often makes a mental note to record positive experiences as well, the urgency is never there in the same way as when she’s experiencing horrid pain. As a result, her journal is an extremely worrying collection of times she probably should have sought professional help.

“When I experience something really exciting, I’m normally too jazzed to take the time to write it down,” she continued. “The only time I actually get around to writing, therefore, is when things get darker than you could ever imagine.”

Sources confirm Emma’s journal entries coincide with breakups, career setbacks, deaths in the family, and unexplained emotional turmoil, but never anything nice.

“I will say – I’m a really evocative writer,” she continued. “These entries are really bringing me back! Are they bringing me back to a good place, per se? No.”

Emma maintains that she goes “poet mode” in her journal often, describing normal situations as if she were writing a best-seller about hardship and loss.

According to sources close to Emma, she’s been journaling like this ever since she was a kid.

“Emma was a super happy 10-year-old, but I read her journal just to make sure I wasn’t missing anything drastic in her life,” said Emma’s mom, Harriet, casually admitting to a huge invasion of privacy. “Her journal is…a cursed object. It holds only pain. I staged an intervention, but surprise, surprise, she was just ‘mad at me for reading it.’”

Reporters had to side with Emma on this one, considering that was pretty fucked up of her mom to do.

As of press time, Emma has been trying to make a habit of writing more often, such that her journal will paint a more accurate image of her life. Reporters estimate this “habit” will last about three days.
