Woman Leaving for Trip Makes Sure Room Is Clean Enough That She Wouldn’t Be Embarrassed if She Died

In a completely mentally-well story coming from Brooklyn, NY, 23-year-old Lila Storrer is about to head on a weekend trip, so she’s currently making sure her room is clean enough that she wouldn’t be embarrassed if she died and someone saw it like this.

Lila maintains this is totally normal and not worth interrogating.

“It’s not like I imagine my own death often or anything,” Lila told reporters while laughing extremely uncomfortably. “But when I’m heading on a trip, I like to put myself in the shoes of someone – perhaps a friend or family member – entering my home for the first time after my tragic passing and seeing my room frozen in time. Naturally, I would want my room to be clean for them!”

While Lila said this as if it were the most common sense thought in the world, reporters confirmed they have never once felt this way.

“No, like, it’s not weird,” she continued. “But if my mom comes in here after my tragic accident where I almost pulled through but didn’t, I’d want her to see that I kept my living space clean, you know? God forbid there’s a vibrator out or anything.”

Reporters informed Lila that in this fictional scenario, she would be dead and therefore likely would not care or feel anything at all, but she argued that was beside the point.

“Look, I’m not planning to die. That would be crazy. I’m just making sure that I’m prepared if the situation does, in fact, arise,” she continued, as if this made it any better.

As far as the cleaning she is actually doing, Lila made sure to put away all of her unfolded clothes, vacuum the floor, and leave a fresh bouquet of flowers out.

“Naturally the flowers will be dead by the time I return from my trip, but I figured if I’m dead, too, it‘ll serve as a poignant reminder that all beautiful things end,” she continued. “It’ll really mean a lot to my sister, I think. Anyway, I’m excited for this weekend trip to be a relaxing break!”

Now that her room is sufficiently clean such that a friend or relative could run their hands along her desk and bookshelf nostalgically and imagine the life she would have continued to lead here, Lila is all set for her trip. Sources confirm her room has never been this clean and will likely be messy again within two hours of her return.
