With new media highlighting the game of tennis such as the upcoming film Challengers and the new series Apples Never Fall, it seems fitting that “tennis core,” a style that embraces tennis basics such as tennis skirts, collared skirts, and general athleisure, is coming into high demand — but no one is embracing this trend better than 25-year-old Natalee Woodson, who happens to be grunting a lot today.
Okay, style icon!
Reporters at the scene asked Natalee about her style influences while she was packing and moving some extremely heavy cardboard boxes.
“I’m moving into a new apartment today,” Natalee said in between grunts, wearing a stunning sweaty headband and vintage Old Navy athletic shorts. “That’s why I’m making this sound a lot. Gotta get these boxes up the stairs somehow!”
She’s so chic!
Natalee added that she rarely keeps up with the latest trends, and that she has a personal style that is virtually untouched by outside influences.
“‘Tennis core’? What is that?” she asked reporters at the scene after setting a box down with another grunt. “I had no idea that was a thing, but thanks for all the compliments, I guess! I’m just exerting a lot of energy right now. I assure you it’s not some kind of fashion statement — I’m just super exhausted.”
OMG! Could she be any more humble?
While Natalee has never actually played tennis in her life, her style choices are proving that anyone can take part in this new fashion trend, no matter how skilled or not they may be on the court.
“So, just because I’m grunting, that makes me a style icon?” Natalee asked reporters, almost completely out of breath. “That doesn’t really make sense to me, but whatever. Hey, while you’re here, could you guys actually help me out with some of these boxes? I’d really appreciate it.”
At this point in the interview, the reporters abruptly left the scene due to the fear that they may intrude upon Natalee’s heavily curated personal style.
