In an incredibly relatable story out of the intersection near your work, the yellow light you’re approaching is pretty much down for whatever.
Okay, relatable?
“That’s, like, so me,” you told reporters as you barreled toward the yellow light in your Honda Civic, waffling between slowing down or speeding up. “I can never decide anything!”
While sources say that it’s usually best for an indecisive individual to hang out with someone who’s decidedly more decisive, you say you kind of dig the yellow light’s vibe.
“I don’t know, I just feel like we get each other,” you said, now flitting your foot on and off the gas pedal indecisively as your car careened towards the intersection. “Sometimes it’s just like, ‘Doesn’t matter to me! Whatever you guys want to do!’ you know?”
Unfortunately, at that time, it was just you and the reporter in the car, and the reporter felt professionally obligated to not voice their desire that you fucking brake.
When the reporter did eventually work up the courage to ask what you were thinking of doing at this unnervingly long yellow light, all you said was, “I love how she matches my energy” with your face bathed in her yellow glow.
Twin vibes!
While you said that normally you crave the strong, sure input of a green, or even red, light, there was something super peaceful about just being on the same wavelength as the yellow light for a bit.
“Usually it’s all ‘go, go, go!’ or ‘stop, stop, stop!’ so I’m just enjoying the ‘whatever you want, dude’ energy right now,” you said while the reporter started openly sobbing in the passenger seat. “You don’t always need to be making a decision, sometimes the best thing to do is just vibe.”
We love that chill, potentially life-threatening energy.
As of press time, the yellow light had turned to red, however since you were already halfway through the intersection, you decided to just keep going.
“I’m just pretty go with the flow, I guess,” you told an absolutely furious reporter who asked that you stop and let them out, like, now.
