Meal Prepping! This Woman Is Making Plans to Go Over to a Friend’s House for Dinner Every Day This Week

In a story that highlights the importance of thinking ahead, 24-year-old Yasmine Khan has officially finished her meal prepping for the week now that she’s made plans to go to a friend’s house for dinner every single night for the next seven days.

Nice job, girl! Way to get ahead of a busy time!

“I never have the energy to cook a balanced meal when I get home from work, so I know I need to plan my dinners ahead of time,” Yasmine told reporters gathered at the scene, where she was wiping her brow after locking down her Thursday night schedule. “By ‘plan ahead of time,’ I do mean ‘send my friend a text saying I miss them, ask if they’re free for dinner, then wait for them to offer to make me something.’”

Yasmine alleges this is a foolproof way to make sure she’s getting all of her necessary nutrients, even when she’s too tired to make anything.

“Meal prep is the best way to go for serial procrastinators like me,” she continued. “Now I don’t need to worry about making small grocery store trips every day, because I can trust my friends have already done that! You know, when they prepare to make my meal.”

According to her schedule, Yasmine is going to meet with old friends on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, a potential fling on Wednesday, and a past professor on Friday.

“I figured I’d splurge with the Friday plans, because TGIF,” she continued. “Whenever I go to an old person’s house, I’m sure it’ll be a three-course situation at least.”

Reporters confirmed her professor is 42 and would probably take offense to being called “an old person.”

When asked whether she contributes to any of these meals, Yasmine was adamant that she does.

“I’m not a freeloader,” she continued. “I always bring dessert – like some cookies or ice cream – or a bottle of wine. And sure, there’s no way to measure the cost of my friends’ labor as they prepare the food, but the wine is like…pretty good.”

Yasmine’s roommate Jay Ruiz confirmed that on days when she doesn’t go to someone else’s place for dinner, she still buys the ice cream or wine for herself and “makes that count as a meal.”

As of press time, Yasmine’s “Monday plan” friend had canceled on her. Devastated that her meal prepping had backfired, she settled for a box of mac and cheese.
