We’re a year into Zoom work, school, therapy, game nights, hangs, and weird family events that we forgot about and got too high right before, and it’s safe to say we’re all feeling burnt out. Staring at and talking to your computer all day sucks, but sometimes, regular existence sucks, and it can be hard to tell which is which. Take this quiz to find out if it’s Zoom fatigue or just the constant burden of being alive!
You’re about to hop on the Zoom. What do you wish you were doing instead?
- Seeing and communicating with people face-to-face.
- I never know what I want to or should be doing.
Have you been feeling more tired than usual at the end of the day?
- Yes, and also the beginning and middle.
What do you feel right now?
- Headachy and stiff.
- Pissed that I have to keep feeding myself meals for the rest of my life or I’ll die.
Are you jealous of dogs because they don’t have to make choices, know what’s happening in the world, or self-reflect?
What do you wish you could say to your boss?
- This meeting could have been an email.
- I didn’t ask to be born.
Mostly 1s: You may be experiencing Zoom fatigue! This is pretty common, and you can try to address it by not scheduling meetings back-to-back and making sure you take breaks to move around during the day.
Mostly 2s: What you’re dealing with is actually just the constant burden of being alive. It can be tough but the good news is at certain points you’ll randomly feel better about and possibly even enjoy it. For what it’s worth, you’re probably also dehydrated.
