Your mom has always been thoughtful and supportive, especially when you’ve gone through tough times in your life. Still, sometimes she goes too far, like today when she once again asked how your vagina was doing, even though it’s been perfectly healthy for over three years now.
“She gave me some great advice when I had that horrible yeast infection a few years back, and then it cleared up right away,” you told reporters. “There’s really no need for her to keep checking in with me about it every couple of months. I’m definitely fine now.”
Even though your mom knew that boric acid suppositories were all you needed three years ago, and you didn’t have any problems after that, she still insists on trying to help you in any way she can.
“I just want to be there for her. Is that a crime?” your mother told reporters. “God forbid a mother look after her children, I guess!”
Sources reported that although you appreciate your mom’s concern, you wish she would understand that you’re in your twenties and already have a primary care provider who’s not related to you.
“I love talking to my mom on the phone,” you said. “But it just kind of ruins the vibe when I’m telling her that I got a raise at my job or something and all she seems to care about is how my vagina’s doing.”
Reportedly, your mom has brought up your past yeast infection during plenty of inopportune times, including when you had her on speaker phone around your cousins, at a restaurant where you were inches away from the people dining next to you, and even in the middle of an otherwise silent library.
“This has definitely been a learning experience for me,” you told reporters. “I’ve learned to never tell my mom when something concerning is happening with my body ever again.”
According to your mom, she simply doesn’t see the issue in regularly asking you about your vaginal health.
“I don’t care how old she is or how long ago her yeast infection was,” she said. “She said it was a really bad one, so obviously I’m still very concerned.”
When you heard your mother’s comments about the issue, you were shocked, to say the least.
“Wait, she talked about it with you, too?” you asked reporters. “What the fuck!”
