Mom Hopes to Come Up With Inspirational Quote of Her Own One Day

In an uplifting story out of your parents’ living room, after years of sending her children motivational posts on Instagram, your mom finally confessed that she has aspirations of coming up with an inspirational quote of her own one day.

“‘Find out who you are and be that person,’” your mom told reporters after searching on Instagram for three minutes. “That’s a really good one. I sent that to my daughter the other day. I want my quote to be something like that.”

Sources say that while your mom might not have landed on her own inspirational quote yet, she still has plenty of other memorable quotes to fill the gap in the meantime.

“She once explained to me how to build the perfect post-Thanksgiving sandwich,” your sister told reporters. “She said, ‘The secret is a thin layer of mashed potatoes and a spoonful of hot honey.’ Which isn’t inspirational, per se, but it did stick with me.”

Reporters agreed that this line was definitely worth jotting down.

“‘Attitude is the “little” thing that makes a big difference,’” your mom added, unprompted. “Winston Churchill said that.”

It quickly became apparent that your mom saw the presence of reporters as an opportunity to read some of her favorite Instagram quotes to a live audience.

“All I typically get from my girls is a heart reaction or maybe an ‘I love this one,’” she said while scrolling through her saved posts. “It’s nice to be around people who really appreciate the power of words.”

“Oh, oh, listen to this one: ‘Whatever you decide to do, make sure it makes you happy,’” she read to reporters. “Hmm, that one doesn’t sound as good when you read it out loud. I think the cute font and beautiful sunset in the background kind of amplify it. Here, I’ll send it to you. What’s your Instagram?”

As of press time, your mom still had yet to land on her perfect inspirational quote, offering reporters a weak, “Always go forward and…be…unique” before ultimately pulling up Instagram to find a post that really got to the heart of what she was trying to express.

“‘Don’t look back, you’re not going that way,’” she read aloud. “Yes! That’s exactly what I was trying to say! Ugh, I love that one. Just perfect. My daughters need to see this.”

Your mom then became so caught up in sending inspirational memes to her children that she was forced to put coming up with her own quote on hold for the time being.

“Family first,” she said. “Oh shit, is that anything?”
