Hot off a string of recent dating successes, 25-year-old Nick Laurent has gained confidence that he’s quite the catch, which is true, but not in the way he expects. He is seemingly unaware that his hottest trait is having older sisters.
“I think I’ve finally hit my stride with dating now that I’ve found a look that really works for me,” he told reporters gathered in his bedroom, which is only clean because his older sisters used to make fun of him for living like a slob. “Or maybe it’s my cool job? No clue, but girls seem to be really into what I have to offer.”
Sources confirm most girls seem lukewarm about Nick until hour two of the date, which is when he typically brings up that he has two older sisters with whom he maintains a positive relationship.
“He seemed nice enough when we first met, but I think what really made the difference is when he mentioned visiting his sister the week prior,” said one of Nick’s former flings, Henrietta Park. “She sounded really cool – a successful human rights lawyer with a passion for pottery? I figured Nick couldn’t be that bad if he was functionally raised by someone like that.”
While Nick certainly got his looks from his dad, he readily admits he got his caring personality and concern for the feelings of others from his sisters, Agatha and Celine.
“They were really good about beating the toxic masculinity out of me,” Nick continued. “But just to reiterate, it seems like girls really dig my car.”
When asked to list the two traits that might set him apart from other guys, Nick said he was tall and a good listener. Reporters then asked his exes to list the two traits that set him apart, and they all replied, “Agatha and Celine.”
“Nick and I broke up about a year ago, and it was pretty amicable, thanks to his sisters,” Henrietta said. “I mean, they weren’t involved at all, but I could just tell they taught him how to take rejection in stride and avoid that sense of entitlement that a lot of other men struggle with.”
This is true, according to Nick, who says he never really had a sense of entitlement growing up due to the fact that Agatha and Celine saw him as an assistant.
As of press time, Nick had met up with Patrick Bleeker – an old friend of his who was raised by three older brothers – and the conversation naturally moved towards their respective dating lives.
