In an adorable story coming out of Brooklyn, NY, 23-year-old Mia Howry added the word “ethical” to her porn search, as if that changes anything at all about her search results.
Nice try, sex workers’ rights activist!
“After learning more about the many faults of the porn industry, I decided to try to do something about it,” Mia told us. “That’s why when I typed in my usual search of ‘choking + rough sex,’ I went ahead and threw in ‘ethical’ at the end of it – y’know, just to filter all the bad ones out.”
Yes, girl! It’s the thought that counts!
“The last thing I ever want to do is watch porn that was made unethically,” Mia continued. “But since I can’t really change the porn industry from the inside out, I figure that typing ‘ethical’ at the end of my searches is basically the best I can do.”
But even though Mia has conflicting thoughts about it, she’s still confident in her pursuit to find the most ethical porn out there, as long as she doesn’t have to pay for it.
“I’ve seen that there’s sites that advertise ethical, women-made porn,” she told us. “But you have to pay like $15 for every video, so with all things considered, it’s hard to know what the right choice is.”
That’s totally understandable, queen!
Mia also told us that she feels like a huge weight has lifted off her shoulders after making this groundbreaking move.
“Now I can finally rest easy knowing that all the porn I watch is all totally ethical,” Mia told us. “And all because of one simple keyword!”
She also reportedly hopes that others can follow her lead, making the porn industry better with each calculated search.
“I think if we all typed in ‘ethical’ after every porn search, the world would be a much better place,” Mia said. “Unless it took away the ‘rough sex’ genre, because then I don’t know if it’d be a place I’d want to live in anymore.”
