This just in from Winona, MN: Karen, who you barely know, is about to hop into the photo you’re trying to take with your two very close friends.

You and your friends had your arms lovingly draped around each other, ready and smiling in anticipation of Josie’s boyfriend taking the picture, when Karen walked in the room and announced, “Oooh, I’m just gonna squeeze in here!”
Now you’re sharing an embrace with her that was meant for Jackie, your son’s godmother, but whatever!
Karen seems unaware of her role in the social pecking order at this bridal shower.
It’s not that you have anything against Karen (outside of her inability to understand the intimacy of certain photo arrangements) it’s just that you’ve had two conversations with her that were mostly about the weather and local restaurants, while you, Josie, and Kiera were all roommates together fifteen years ago, and this photo was a bit of a moment.
