There are some things we all know we are supposed to love, like beautiful music, and some things we totally neglect, like our bodies. Listening to your body can be long, difficult, and boring, so why not make it fun by creating a playlist to listen to while you finally try to figure out what’s going on in there? Here are five great songs to crank up while you try to listen to your body:
“Your House” by Alanis Morissette: In this song, Alanis is shamefully exploring her boyfriend’s apartment while he is out, while you are even more shamefully exploring the disgusting apartment that is your body! You are so broken!
“Doin It” by LL Cool J: LL and his lover are doing it well, getting’ their swerve on, and so can you! Probably with less finesse since you’ve developed that lower-back problem.
“Stronger” by Britney Spears: She’s stronger than yesterday, now it’s nothing but her way, and her loneliness isn’t killing her anymore. You too, because you’re finding an appreciation for your body! Even that psoriasis that you just found on your back.
“What it Feels Like for a Girl” by Madonna: She’s telling you what it feels like for a girl, while you’re finding out what it feels like to finally stretch a hamstring. Wow!
“Shake Ya Body” by Jay Z and R. Kelly: In this song, the boys are telling you to shake your body, and also not to hurt nobody. What a perfect time to hear this message! If it hurts, please consult a doctor.
There are several more songs to listen to while you are paying attention to your well being, but these are a great place to start. So pull up your iTunes and get ready to love your weird, repulsive body that you’ve ignored for so long!
