3 Cures for Low Energy That All Require Energy

If you’re feeling fatigued, it can be tempting to turn to quick fixes like coffee or other so-called “energy-boosting” supplements. However, the boost those solutions provide is ultimately short-term and artificial. In order to actually fix your low energy problem, consider these all-natural and weirdly strenuous remedies, even though you can’t get yourself out of bed right now.

Get moving!

Yeah, this probably sounds pretty terrible at the moment thanks to the whole “low energy” thing, but nothing fights fatigue like a good old fashion walk around the block, or perhaps several solid jumping jacks. What’s that? You’re having trouble keeping your eyes open right now? Well, have you thought about running a 5k to combat that?

Drink a glass of water.

Granted, you’ll have to summon the energy to get out of bed, walk to the kitchen, and pour yourself a glass of water first. Also, you’ve been putting off doing the dishes for weeks, so you’ll have to work up the energy to wash a cup as well. By hand, obviously. Not to mention, you haven’t really been keeping up with refilling the ice tray, so maybe do that too. It seems like a lot of work, but in the end, you’ll get to have a glass of water!

Avoid napping.

While this may sound counterintuitive at first, limiting your sleep during the day can actually help you get more restful sleep at night. Sure, you might be noticing your eyes starting to droop even as you read this and it feels that gravity is, like, extra strong today, but don’t give in to the temptation! Use the negative reserves in your energy deposits to rip yourself out of that warm, plush cumulus cloud you call a bed and go stand by the window for a while, or whatever. Yeah, energy cannot be created or destroyed, but you’re just going to have to try your best.

There you have it – three great, all-natural cures for low energy that’ll have you feeling zesty and spirited in no time. You’ll just have to harness some nonexistent energy to do them first!
