QUIZ: Should You Sign Up for Pottery Class or Just Roll Around in Mud Like a Little Pig?

Oftentimes, with the start of the new year comes the desire to try out new hobbies. However, before you go investing money into classes and materials, it’s important to know exactly what it is you’re interested in doing. So, take this quiz to find out: should you sign up for that pottery class, or would a quick roll in a pigsty do the trick?

Do you want to create something?

  1. Yes! Preferably some beautiful clay art.
  2. No, I’m just interested in being covered head to toe in muck like how a hog is.

How expensive is the pottery class?

  1. Free! My friend is the instructor and they said I could pop in for a class whenever I want!
  2. Let’s just say it’s way, way out of my budget. And, I know you didn’t ask, but I do feel compelled to mention that I live within walking distance of a farm.

Why do you want to sign up for a pottery class?

  1. To make some pottery, obviously, and maybe make a few friends.
  2. To get sloppy kinda? Like, to make a big mess.

Is there a piece of pottery that really resonated with you?

  1. My grandma has this really beautiful clay serving bowl that she adores. It makes me feel connected to my roots, and reminds me of childhood. I really want to make a matching one for her birthday.
  2. One time I saw a little clay figurine of a pig covered in mud. I really loved how it was a pig and also how covered in mud it was. It being sculpted from clay didn’t really do much for me.

RESULTS:

Mostly 1s: You should go ahead and sign up for the pottery class! It sounds like you’re really interested in art and making friends, which this class will definitely be good for. Don’t discount rolling around in the mud like a little pig though! Who knows, you just might love it.

Mostly 2s: Definitely don’t sign up for the pottery class — you don’t belong there and everyone will be able to tell. So, put down your credit card, throw on a shirt you don’t love love, and take a stroll on down to your local farm. The sweet release of the pigsty awaits.
