Whoa! We got full-body chills when we heard about Annie Coleman, a literal goddess walking this earth, who was able to step into her power by listing the moon as her primary emergency contact.

Annie was at the doctor’s office when she made the brave and inspired decision.

“I tried to think about who is there for me when I need them most, who do I turn to for guidance and inspiration in times of trouble. Who’s steady, who’s reliable?” explains Annie. “And I was like, duh, the moon.”

“That’s not really what that part of the form is for,” says nurse Jacquee Lawson. “It’s just like someone we could notify if something happened to you or you needed a ride home. You can’t call the moon.”

Thankfully, Annie isn’t sweating the haters.

“The nurse who reviewed my form thought it was like the name of a business I wanted them to call, and I just had to stand my ground. If I’m in trouble, you just howl at the moon, okay? The moon doesn’t have a phone. That has always been and will always be my emergency plan.”

Annie explains that the moon has seen her through breakups, job stress, and even a rocky start in her yoga teacher-training program.

“People think they want stability, but that’s not life. Things are always waxing and waning, so when life gets me down, I’m gonna call on someone who gets it. And that someone is the moon.”

We’re inspired, Annie!
