This bar’s second floor is a tasty spot for Wednesday trivia with fast service and plenty of screens to half-watch all your favorite NY sports teams. The trivia host uses a microphone, which will be extra helpful next week when there are way more people there than usual because of this dumb article. Try one of the local beers on tap!
Astoria Craft, Astoria –1801 26th Rd, Tuesdays at 8pm
This hip but understated bar and restaurant attracts a smart, quirky crowd to its trivia night. Take advantage of the $8 specialty pizzas on Tuesdays, unless you go after this article comes out because service will probably be much slower due to the influx of non-regulars infiltrating the bar. Enjoy and definitely get there two hours early, so you can get a table!
Videology Bar & Cinema, Williamsburg – 308 Bedford Ave, Tuesdays at 8:30pm
Cinefiles unite! This unique trivia experience isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s unlike most trivia in that it relies on the use of visual aids and movie/TV clips. You’ll have a hard time seeing the big screen after this article comes out though because so many other people are also reading this and thinking, “Oh that sounds cool. I’ll text the group chat and see if anyone wants to come with me next week.”
Pacific Standard, Boerum Hill – 82 4th Ave, Sundays at 8pm
With decor reminiscent of a college dorm common room, the Sunday trivia night at Pacific Standard will make you yearn for the simpler things in life. Especially when you’ve lost your hearing from the impossible amount of people trying to stuff themselves into a small place to prove they’re smarter than one another at an arbitrary contest after reading this article.
