In an impressive story coming out of Cincinnati, OH, 26-year-old Clarissa Taylor’s photo storage on her phone is 99% full even though she literally does not go anywhere or do anything.
Yes, girl! Take up space – on your own phone.
“I guess I just like taking pictures,” Clarissa told reporters. “Sure, it’s true that nothing in my life is really ‘worth’ chronicling in the traditional sense of the word, but I can’t resist the urge to whip out my phone and take another photo of my living room on a random afternoon. You know, just to remember what it looked like.”
See? Your boring life is worth documenting!
“She has approximately 5,000 photos on her phone and absolutely none of them are evidence of a life well lived,” said Clarissa’s roommate, Shayda. “Most of them are just pictures of her eye that she took in the middle of the night because she thought something was wrong with it. I know because she sent them all to me.”
Shayda continued, saying, “All her photos are of the same five things: herself, her apartment, her cats, that one tree on her street, and screenshots from the internet.”
However, Shayda admitted that some of her roommate’s photos did look interesting.
“She was showing me some pictures of her cats on her phone and scrolled past a series of photos that were actually super eye-catching,” Shayda said. “But when I asked her about them, it turned out they were just screenshots from one of her friend’s vacations that she saw on Instagram.”
When asked what types of photos she has on her phone, Clarissa said it’s mostly just things she’s trying to get to the bottom of.
“Like, does my mattress have bed bugs or is that just normal debris?” Clarissa elaborated. “1,500 high-resolution photos with flash should help me figure that out. I guess it’s just that I can’t ever take one photo of anything, I am physiologically compelled to take 500.”
Makes sense!
As of press time, Clarissa had to upgrade to paying $10 for phone storage every month, but said it was worth it because now she can “continue taking pictures of nothing.”
