Woman Who Got Out of House by 10 a.m. Finally Understands Why People Do This

In a beautiful story that might inspire lasting personal change but probably won’t, 24-year-old Jamie Chung left the house before 10 a.m. today and, upon taking in the crisp morning air, finally gets why people enjoy this.

“On the weekends, I don’t leave the house until about 1 p.m.,” Jamie told reporters. “And on the weekdays, I wake up and immediately log on to my job, so I don’t leave the house until 6 p.m. By then, I would say everything is sad and bad and ending.”

But this morning, things transpired differently. Jamie woke up 15 minutes before her alarm, and rather rebelliously decided to walk to a coffee shop around the corner. She barely even scrolled her Instagram in bed (where she never posts and never has that many notifications to attend to), instead opting to leave the house right away.

“I got outside and was like, ‘Woah! So, this is what it’s like?’” she continued. Sources confirm it was an average day – partly cloudy and slightly chilly – but to Jamie, everything was anew.

“It was barely 8:40, and I was already out of the house. I spent twenty minutes walking, and it was still only 9!” she continued gleefully, grabbing a reporter’s hand. Reporters confirm that this is, indeed, how time works.

Jamie was seen reading in a park, watching the clouds roll by on a steep hill, and listening to her favorite music outside a coffee shop, all before 10 a.m. It’s remarkable that she was able to do all of this in such a short period of time, which suggests she must’ve sprinted from location to location.

“I heard a bird chirp and a child laugh! Who knew the morning could bring such quiet and attentive joys?” she continued. People have been telling her this for years, but she instead opted to believe they were lying, as that explanation was more convenient.

Jamie has reportedly told all her friends that she will be waking up and leaving the house early from now on “to capitalize on all that this beautiful world has to offer, of course!”

“I just completely understand why people do this, and I can’t wait to do it for the rest of my life!” she said, which sources close to Jamie are now estimating will not happen.

At press time, Jamie stayed up too late given how early she’d woken up and slept through her alarm the next day. After waking up at 11 a.m., she remembered why she liked to do that so much, too.
