In a brave attempt to combine summer and knowledge, 26-year-old Tasha Hewes packed a book on her way to the beach that she had absolutely no intention of opening.
“I love having a book on me,” Tasha told us. “Not because I actually like to read, but because I’m trying to gain more muscle by carrying heavier things in my bag.”
In addition to this workout plan, Tasha had even more reason to be excited about bringing a book to the beach without actually reading it.
“One of my main motivations for going to the beach is so that I can take better bikini pics,” she said. “And this book placed ever-so-slightly to the side of my beach bod will be perfect for my followers to comment on.”
Ok, genius-meets-influencer!
Sources close to Tasha also expressed their thoughts about her brave decision.
“Right before we left for the beach, she asked me if she should bring Parable of the Sower or 1984,” said Tasha’s friend Zoe Sani. “I told her that I didn’t know she was interested in science fiction, and she was like ‘I’m not,’ which was kind of weird, but I like that she’s going outside her comfort zone!”
“I’ve had those books on my shelves for years,” Tasha added. “So I thought it would be fun to leave them unopened on a nice sandy beach for a change!”
Despite her plans of not reading the book, we hope that Parable of the Sower is everything Tasha is looking for: kind of heavy with a wide enough fanbase for her followers to take note. Happy Book Girl Summer!
