I Haven’t Looked in a Mirror for Over a Year and Now My Skin Is Clearer Than Ever (I Think)

After watching countless Youtube videos, reading health and beauty articles, and buying a myriad of expensive skincare products, I finally gave up and stopped looking in the mirror for over a year, and surprisingly enough my skin is clearer than ever! I think. I mean, I’m not sure. I haven’t looked.

I first decided to stop looking in the mirror, or any reflective surfaces at all for that matter, because I read that it helps to heighten your general mindfulness, but I had no idea that it would also give me the best skin of my life (So far as I know – I’m kind of going off of vibes here).

I’m not sure whether I was picking at my skin too much or just being aware of what it looked like in general, but something about not looking at my own reflection seemed to work from the very beginning. I guess a watched pot never boils, or in my case, a watched face never doesn’t have something wrong with it.

Now I can totally see the results of my skincare decision from the occasional filtered photo, and I have to say, I look great!

Self-care is still super important, even if I don’t use a mirror as a tool to achieve it. That’s why I ask my friends, family, and coworkers how I look on a day-to-day basis, just to be sure nothing’s wrong that I need to fix, or if I’m getting a zit or something. In the last year, everyone’s told me that I look great, or fine, or alright but my hair’s a little messed up, so I couldn’t be happier with these results!

Who would’ve thought that ignoring my reflection would give me such great skin?

They say that ignorance is bliss, which I bet is pretty nice, but I’m upwards of 99% pretty sure that my skin looks perfect from not seeing my reflection for over a year. I highly recommend trying this!
