If you’ve ever left a bathroom that smells totally foul to see someone waiting outside to go in after you, then you know some important things can get lost in translation. Well, whether or not you were the one who took a huge smelly dump that made the whole room stink, here are some subtle ways to tell the next person that “the bathroom smelled like that before I went in,” by only using subtle facial expressions. Time to bat those lashes!
Look towards the toilet, then back at them.
This is a great way to shift the blame off of you and onto the toilet. You aren’t the one who smells bad or made the bathroom smell bad. The toilet, on the other hand, absolutely is. And this person should know that! No matter how many glances back and forth it takes, while they wait for you to exit the doorframe so they can use the bathroom, the next person who goes in after you will definitely know that you weren’t responsible!
Roll your eyes.
Communicate your frustration at the person who stunk up the bathroom before you by clearly rolling your eyes right when you leave the restroom. No one will think that you’re rolling your eyes at yourself, after all! You definitely didn’t take a shit in there.
Raise an eyebrow.
You could also go a more suggestive route with a sharp inquisitive look. Raising an eyebrow at the other person loudly exclaims, “Do you really want to go in there?” and “At what cost?” Surely, the person will know that you’ve been through a lot, and they might not even go inside after all!
Look pissed off while shaking your head.
If you really want to make sure that others know it wasn’t you who made the bathroom smell like filthy piss and shit, then go ahead and get passionate! Look angry when you leave the B-room, and even throw in a couple “So disgusting”s or “Yuck!”s while you’re at it too! Nothing will shift the blame like some good ol’ fashioned righteous anger!
Not many people want to go into a bathroom that smells like poop, but absolutely no one wants to get blamed for making it smell like that in the first place! So if you’re self-conscious about whether or not people think you set off a metaphorical stink bomb in there, use any of these sexy little looks to show that you would never, ever do something like that.
