BREAKING: Boyfriend Thinks Pull Up Bar Would Look Great in Door Frame

In breaking news out of your apartment, your boyfriend has just announced that he thinks a pull up bar would look amazing in the doorframe of your bedroom.

“He said he thought the doorway needed something to give it ‘a little extra oomph,’” you told reporters gathered at the scene. “I didn’t think ‘oomph’ meant his entire body dangling in the middle of the doorway as he attempted to do chin-ups.”

While your initial reaction was to say “no” immediately, you told reporters that you were feeling a bit more generous today.

“He’s never really shown much interest in decorating before, so I didn’t want to stifle his burst of creative inspiration right away,” you explained. “Instead, I just asked him why he thought a pull up bar would look good in that space, and his responses were…enlightening, to say the least.”

According to your reports, your boyfriend said he appreciated the “somebody-in-this-home-works-out” aesthetic that a pull up bar would bring to the place – whether or not this was actually true.

In addition to the pull up bar, he also said that he had a “vision” for the living room, which pretty much just amounted to moving the dumbbells from their place in the closet to kind of the middle of the room where they’d be more “eye-catching” and “accessible.”

“He doesn’t even use those dumbbells that often,” you told reporters, after having “regrettably” given your boyfriend license to test-drive some of the changes he wanted to make in the apartment.

Your boyfriend, having overheard this from the kitchen where he was replacing the mat by the sink with a little roll-up putting green, responded, saying, “Because they’re not accessible enough! I’m going to use them all the time now.”

However, as of press time, your boyfriend still had not touched the dumbbells, and you had made the best of a bad situation, using the pull up bar in the doorframe as a little extra closet space, as your boyfriend had almost immediately given up on his chin-up journey, claiming the bar “hurt his hands.”

On the bright side, the putting green has proven to be a huge hit for both of you.
