In a harrowing tale of grit and determination, 27-year-old Lizzy McAllister proved that not all heroes wear capes when she bravely stepped out of the shower this morning despite knowing how fucking freezing it would be.
Woah, did someone say “Medal of Honor”?
“It was a really tough choice, maybe the hardest choice I’ve ever had to make,” said the medical resident. “The shower is so warm and the rest of the bathroom is so cold? I truly considered just staying under the showerhead forever. If it wasn’t for the fact that I had to get on with my day, I might still be there right now.”
Sources report that not only did Lizzy boldly get out of the shower, she ran straight into her room without even a towel to offset her shivering.
“I know, I know. It was gutsy, risky – insane, even. But I had forgotten my towel, what else could I do? Again, I considered going straight back into the warmth and comfort of the shower, but you know what they say: Bravery is forged under the most difficult of circumstances.”
She’s so courageous it’s honestly scary!
“I don’t think I’ve seen anything so fearless like that in my life,” said Lizzy’s roommate, Pam. “To run straight from the shower into your room? That’s at least, five to 10 seconds of being really fucking cold. But Lizzy ran headfirst into it! She didn’t even scream, ‘Holy shit holy shit holy shit.’ It was so brave I didn’t even mind the trail of water she left behind.”
Lizzy tells reporters that this act of courage has inspired her to take more brave leaps in her life, including sipping her coffee without blowing on it first and leaving her apartment without giving her outfit a final check in the mirror.
“From these trials and tribulations, it’s reassuring to know I can face my fears, one step (out of the shower) at a time and come out even more resilient than I was before,” Lizzy said while tearing up. “What doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger!”
