Woman Makes Most of Beautiful Day by Bringing Her Work Laptop Outside

In a story coming out of a 70-degree and sunny Brooklyn, NY, 28-year-old Mariah Holden has figured out exactly how to make the most of this beautiful day: bringing her work laptop outside.

“It always sucks when it’s nice out but you have to work,” Mariah told reporters. “If you’re like, ‘Ugh, I wish I could fully embrace this incredible weather!’ but you’re stuck inside at your nine-to-five, I’m here to tell you that you can! Just bring your work laptop outside.”

“Of course, you won’t get any work done because of the glare on your computer screen and the constant stimulation making it hard to focus,” Mariah amended. “And you’ll kind of ruin the nice day too because everything you love about being outside will now directly conflict with the work you’re trying to do, but it’s kind of the best you can do!”

While other people might think that making the most of a beautiful day would include things like going for a hike, playing tennis, getting drinks on a patio with friends, or even just going for a short walk, that was not Mariah’s experience. Like, not even close.

“I just have a lot of work to do,” Mariah said. “And then once work is over, it’s basically dark outside, so I can’t do any of those other activities.”

However, sources close to Mariah said that they felt like taking her work laptop outside wasn’t really “making the most” of the day.

“When Mariah told me she was going to ‘go enjoy this beautiful day,’ I thought she was going to go take a blanket to the park or go for a bike ride or something,” said Mariah’s roommate, Ferris. “But no, she just took her work laptop outside and proceeded to do her job for nine hours straight. I feel like she should’ve at least gone for a walk and gotten herself a smoothie or something.”

As of press time, Mariah had internalized what her roommate had said, and decided to leave her work laptop inside and go and enjoy the nice day by doing work on her phone instead.

“It’s really hard to do Excel spreadsheets on your phone!” she said, her face getting progressively redder, either from sunburn or stress.
