In a story of innovative thinking, Cassidy Bauer has applied bug spray to the exact spot where she just got a mosquito bite at this rooftop barbecue.
“I didn’t really realize the mosquitoes were out until I felt an itch and looked down at a super swollen bite on my shin,” Cassidy says. “That’s when I was like, okay, pass me the bug spray now, and I know exactly where to start.”
While Cassidy vaguely sprayed the Off! On her arms and shoulders, she took extra care to absolutely blast her existing bug bite with this chemical insect deterrent.
“I’m not sure why Cassidy is putting so much bug spray on her bug bite; it isn’t a treatment,” said party host Jaslyn Diaz. “She’s also made no effort to get her back, neck, or feet, which are definitely high-risk spots. I just can’t follow the logic.”
But Cassidy just doesn’t see it that way.
“Bite my shin once, shame on you,” she says. “Bite me again in the exact same spot, shame on me!”
“I have empirical evidence now that my shin is really appealing to mosquitos,” she adds. “And if that same fucker comes back for round two, he’s gonna have another thing coming. The best defense is offense, even if that offense is in response to something that already happened to you.”
At press time, Cassidy was heading off to a beach day where she will refuse to put on sunblock until she has already burned.
