Not everyone has a fun-loving spirit, but fear not! Snapchats are a great way to showcase the adventurous life you’ll NEVER have. The next time you’re in line buying stamps, try following these easy tips for crafting snaps so good they’ll make your friends seethe with jealousy.
1. Make Your Taco Bell Look Fancy
Your friend snapped you a birds-eye view of a meal at a five-star restaurant. How do you compete? Take it to the next level and snap back a pic of “authentic” food to show how cultured you are. Don’t have the money or knowledge to get a fancy meal? Simply spoon your Taco Bell onto a nice plate next to a votive candle and caption with: “Tapas! Cheers!”
2. Make it Look Like You Buy Real Food
The next time you’re picking up tampons at CVS, head to the food isle and take a close-up snap of something vaguely healthy-looking. Instead of the usual frowny face you draw over your snaps of your dog’s diarrhea, try something a little more luxurious, such as “At the market.” A “market” says ‘I buy food… at markets,’ ‘I’m chic’ and, ‘I probably raise show dogs.’

4. Have a Parking Lot Picnic
If you just got a snap of a panoramic view atop a snowy mountain, what comes next? A picnic! Just because you’re nowhere near a mountain or any clean landmark doesn’t mean you can’t eat a sandwich and take a nap like the nature-loving, lady of leisure you are.
5. Snap Your “Eveningwear” from the Mall
Your friends all snapped you a party pic that reads “@ the Plaza!” Time to head straight for the boring people’s plaza: the mall! Snap a pic in the fanciest dress you can find, and don’t forget to pepper in a caption with a well-known social event of your choice. Get creative! #Emmys
Remember to ask yourself, “What does this snap say about me?” It should say, “I’m exciting,” “I have a lot of fun” and, most importantly, “These snapchats are definitely accurate.”
