Nude Lipsticks That Say, ‘Why Am I Even Doing This’

Nude lipstick shades give you a barely there look that is just that: barely there! When you want to apply lipstick that has almost no effect on your look and feels utterly pointless to even attempt, try these pale shades that say, “Why am I paying money to look exactly the same as I did before?”

Dior Addict Lip Glow ($33)

This moisturizing balm gives just a hint of color to the lips of the fair-skinned among us, which essentially means it does nothing at all, becauses this super-subtle look is basically a non-look dressed up as a look. Wow! Put it on when you wanna be like, “Okay, nothing really happened but I guess I’m technically wearing lipstick.”

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Apricot Fantasy ($6)

This lip adds just a teensy bit of brightness, and by brightness we mean “it won’t brighten anything at all.” Once you realize it will remain unseen, you’ll be left feeling beautiful in a “What? Why?” sort of way.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Dolce ($24)

This lipstick goes on wet but dries matte, which is something only you will know. You might tell people that you’re wearing matte lipstick, but they’re just going to have to take your word for it. If you want a lipstick that’s not too bright but is also not too anything at all, this one’s for you!

Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Peche ($28)

This nude lipstick comes in a long-wearing formula so you can sorta look like you’re not even wearing lipstick all day. Cool!

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Sugar Honey ($24)

This lip treatment promises to soften and protect, but in terms of color it’s giving us absolutely nothing to work with. It’s the exact choice when you want to think, “Why do I bother? What’s the point?”

For a lip look that is just short of pointless, choose any of these nude lip colors. It will have people saying nothing, because it doesn’t look like you put anything on.
