‘I Sold All My Belongings and Backpacked Across the World,’ Says Liar Who Didn’t Sell Her Backpack

Be careful what you believe on social media: Nature-loving TikTok influencer Paula Harris recently announced that she “sold all [her] belongings to backpack across the world,” but the lying snake clearly never sold her backpack.

Paula immediately became the subject of internet backlash and scrutiny for her harmful mistruths.

“Between influencer’s photoshopping their bodies and Paula getting caught in the lie about selling her backpack, it’s just so hard to believe anyone anymore,” one TikTok user complained.

Harris, the 23-year-old social media extraordinaire, refused to take the criticism lying down.

“I need a backpack in order to safely complete my journey across the Appalachian Trail,” she whined, feebly attempting to defend herself. “I thought people would understand that when I said I sold everything, I didn’t mean literally every single asset to my name.”

With over 1.5 million followers, Harris built her platform on flagrant lies surrounding her “minimalist lifestyle.” If you’re such a minimalist, Paula, why don’t you upcycle some of your 1,634,588 followers? And pluck that massive, 65-liter North Face rig off your back?

In an effort to clear her name, Paula went live on TikTok, begging others to understand. “I sold my house, all the furniture within it, and my most nostalgic, prized possessions from childhood.”

Feign innocence all you want! We all see the backpack you carried throughout your 7-month trek, filled with superfluous goodies like food, water purification tablets, and a first-aid kit, you deceitful hellion.

Noah Alvarez, Paula’s long-time social media rival, is well-known for his similar, nature-related content. Commenting on the matter, he said, “This isn’t surprising behavior out of Paula. She’s a liar. Me, on the other hand, when I say I’m selling everything, I mean it. That’s why I’m going to sell it all and go hiking in the mountains.”

Unfortunately, hiking sans clothes and equipment proved to be a fool’s endeavor, ultimately resulting in Noah’s tragic demise due to starvation and dehydration. In lieu of flowers, Noah’s family requests that you please send hate comments to Paula Harris.

When asked for a final statement, Paula asserted, “I didn’t lie. I assumed it was common knowledge that, even after selling everything that matters to me, I wouldn’t go backpacking without a backpack.”

Likely story, girlie. What’s next? You’re going to “sell all your belongings” to go biking across the states? On a bike? That you own? Your evil knows no bounds.
