4 Baby Cams That Hopefully Won’t Pick Up Any Paranormal Activity

Baby camera technology is better than ever, providing the comfort and security of being able to watch your child from afar, without having to get out of bed to check on them and risk disturbing their sleep. Let’s just hope your little one is the only thing these cameras record, and not some terrifying ghostly specters! These are the four best baby cams available today that hopefully won’t pick up any paranormal activity while your baby is in another room entirely.

Motorola MBP36XL Baby Monitor ($149.99, Babylist)

With its remote pan, tilt, and zoom abilities, as well as high-sensitivity microphone and infrared night vision, this device will record your infant’s activities in crystal clear definition, day and night. Unfortunately, the multitude of recording options also increases the likelihood you’ll catch some spooky occurrences in the periphery, like orbs or the menacing silhouette of a figure standing over their crib. Fingers crossed the only thing you see when you play back the footage is your little one sleeping, and not a door opening of its own accord or a rocking chair sliding across the room.

Vtech VM3252 2.8” Digital Baby Monitor ($69.95, Amazon)

If you’re not looking to break the bank, this affordable option offers high-resolution playback and a two-way, talk-back intercom so you can communicate with your baby. Let’s just hope no creepy shit gets transmitted through that two-way intercom, like the voice of someone calling your child’s name, because that would be terrifying, right? Sure, that’s the risk you run when you set up a camera in your house and leave it recording 24/7. But you just want to watch your baby with this thing, not hear some ghostly voice saying, “You’re not welcomeee hereeee.” No thank you, just the baby, please!

Panasonic Video Baby Monitor ($149.99, Target)

Remember that scene in the third Paranormal Activity when they set the camera up on a fan and it pans back and forth and catches a ghost under a sheet standing behind the babysitter? Let’s hope this one doesn’t catch anything like that!!

Infant Optics DXR-8 Video Baby Monitor ($165.99, Amazon)

This incredible monitor won the 2018 award for Best Baby Monitor from Popular Mechanics, and it’s easy to see why. With its full viewing control and sturdy hardware, this monitor offers the all-around best bang for your buck. Unfortunately, this baby cam did not win the award for “Least Likely to Pick up Demonic Activity”, so maybe say some prayers that you don’t see a demon face appear briefly in the shadows of your child’s blankie.

These four baby cams all provide great coverage and should instill a wonderful peace-of-mind in your home. That is, unless they start picking up paranormal activity. If that becomes the case, turn these things off and throw them in the trash! When it comes to ghosts, out of sight, out of mind!
