Manufacturer of Plan B to Release ‘Plan BBW’ for Larger Women

After facing criticism for Plan B’s questionable efficacy in women who weigh more than 176 pounds, Teva Pharmaceuticals is set to release a new line of revolutionary emergency contraceptives for the plus size market, called “Plan BBW.”

“Emergency Contraceptives are about loving the skin you’re in, and we’re delighted to be releasing Plan BBW, the contraceptive for big, beautiful women,” says a spokesperson for the company.

While most drug companies simply up the dose for their plus-sized pharmaceuticals, Teva Pharmaceuticals has tested different shapes and flavors for a contraceptive made to complement the tastes of plus-sized women.

The brand created a splash with their viral marketing campaign featuring fashionable plus-sized women saying, “Actually, I’m NOT pregnant!”

The first collection of Levonorgestrel products will feature not only an increase in the active ingredient, but also a bold, edgy new look. It will be available in three different flavors: Chunky Chocolate, Plump Peanut Butter, and Cool Curvy Ranch.

The line will be available in select pharmacies and Lane Bryant stores by early 2014.
