Does He Want a Relationship Or Are You Just A Stop On His Summer Phish Tour?

If you’ve been “talking” to a guy who lives far away, it might be pretty exciting when he suddenly announces that he’s coming to visit and wants to stay with you. But is he asking in the hopes that your relationship becomes romantic or he’s asking because Phish is playing near your house this summer and he wants to crash at your place?

Does he seem interested in you?

When you’re trying to figure out if a guy wants to date you, it’s important to consider whether he seems into you or not. If he cares about you, he’ll ask you about your life. Does he ask you how your day was, or does he seem far more interested in discussing how far the BB&T Pavillion is from your house and if you’d be willing to drive him there on the night of August 8th? Chances are if he’s a Phish Head, the evidence is right in front of you.

Does he want to meet your friends?

It’s important for a guy to ask about your social circle. If he likes you, he’ll want to meet your friends when he’s in town. But if he’s less into you and more into following Phish around the country for their summer tour, he might only be interested in meeting your friends so he can invite them to the show and save $200 off the total ticket price by buying a ticket bundle. Ah, the life of a jam band fan!

Has he shared anything personal with you?

If a dude opens up and shares something intimate with you, like how hard his parent’s divorce was for him, his willingness to be vulnerable is a surefire way of knowing he probably wants something more. But if he all he “shares” is his back tattoo of the Pollack mouse in a top hat with a fishing pole from the Junta album art, he’s probably just a Phish fan looking for a crash pad before heading out to listen to a four hour rendition of “Runaway Jim.” Sorry but he’s as interested in dating you as Phish is in playing songs that are a normal length!

Ask yourself these questions when you’re trying to figure out if he’s into you or just psyched to have a place to crash while following his favorite band around the country! And if he’s just here for Phish, don’t worry, the right guy will come along soon. Maybe. There are too many Deadheads out there to be sure!
