Not to be content with the constant stream of selfies she posted to social media during her life, recently deceased attention whore Rebecca Harklin held an open casket funeral Monday.
The tragic and unexpected death of 16-year-old Harklin was overshadowed by her ongoing quest for validation, as her family allowed visitation for over two full days in an open casket wake.
“Honestly, by the end it felt like she was really milking it,” says one of Harklin’s close friends, who chooses to remain anonymous. “But it is so her.”
Many in attendance felt that Harklin, who was known to “rock a bikini” in life, was milking her death for every last drop of attention she could get by flaunting her body at both the wake and the funeral.
While the practice of open casket funerals is fairly common, one attendee said, “It just feels so much more annoying when Becky does it.”
“Sure you wanna show off your face, but did she really need the lower half open?” said Becky’s former schoolmate, Megan Smith. “Like, what are you trying to prove?”
“I just wanted to see my little girl one last time,” sobbed her emotional mother Peggy, who was known by other mothers for never disciplining her out-of-control daughter or checking to see what she was posting on social media.
“It’s just a shame,” said the priest, Father Sean Hartsell. “To see a young girl cut down before she could have learned to have some humility.”
